چکیده

Abstract With proper management, the modernization of irrigation systems makes it possible to improve efficiency application and use water at cost an increase in pumping needs and, therefore, increment energy consumed. The recent drastic price for put viability many farms risk. In this context, using photovoltaic solar power stations has become increasingly attractive alternative a cheap reliable option. dimensioning powered by must be done considering variability radiation take advantage available energy, especially during periods less irradiation. By investigating particular case, paper studies effect increasing number pumps parallel while maintaining total power, as well relationship between installed capacity system, meet requirements throughout year. pumped volume increased same generator. Although limit, beyond which no greater significant rise is achieved, installation costs increase. addition, installed, required generator decreases increases. case studied, 27% annual was achieved incrementing from one five, thus leading 44.1% reduction size 13.3% compared with system only pump. procedure used determine most appropriate install when two tanks, minimizes generator's guaranteeing requirements, easily generalizable sizing isolated systems.

Photovoltaic water pumping systems for Algeria

In Algeria, there are many isolated sites which are not yet connected to the conventional electrical grid and face severe problems of water for domestic consumption and irrigation purposes. There are some photovoltaic water pumping system (PVWPS) which are situated in remote areas. Due to the high cost of setting up and maintaining a large number of PVWPS, we present in this project a methodolo...

Solar Water Pumping System

PV array is increasingly employed for water pumping system. In this paper, the developed boost converter steps up the voltage produced by the PV array to a value which is suitable to run a single-phase induction motor. The inverter converts DC to AC is controlled by using sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technique. By using a LCfilter the harmonics are eliminated and pure sine wave is o...
